ECash Direct Register/Change Credit Card

Before using your credit card to deposit money into your ECash Direct account, you need to register your card with the ECash Direct system. The entire transaction is processed online.

Accessing the Register/Change Card Screen

To Register/Change Credit Cards you need to access the Register/Change Credit Card screen. To access the Register/Change Credit Card screen from the main menu, click Cashier then the Register/Change Credit Card screen from the Cashier menu.

Registering your Credit Card

Now that you are viewing the Register/Change Card screen you need to key in two pieces of information to register your credit card:

  1. Credit Card Number; and,
  2. Expiry Date (month, year)
To allow us to serve you better, type in the credit card's customer service number and the name of the associated bank in the input boxes provided on the screen.

In order for your registration to be processed successfully:

Click on the Register/Change my card button at the bottom of the screen to finalize the registration. You may need to wait for about one minute while your Credit Card information is verified. Please note that during this registration process, a transaction in the amount of 5.00-20.00 USD or currency equivalent is authorized to your credit card. The money is returned immediately but a hold is put on these funds temporarily. The hold on the 5.00-20.00 USD or currency equivalent is released after a few days automatically. Actual time varies depending on your bank.

All users are required to become registered users of the ECash Direct software.

At ECash Direct, we respect the privacy of our users' information. There are several levels of security built-in to the software and infrastructure that supports the software. These extensive security measures have been implemented to ensure that the user is protected against theft of their information or funds from hackers. These security measures include proprietary hardware and software encryption, fraud prevention controls and procedures and proprietary firewalls. A firewall is a separate computer that acts as a gatekeeper by authenticating the identity of all users that would like to use the software prior to providing access to it.

Physical access and logical access to our data center facilities is also secure and access is highly restricted. The facilities are protected by a multi-zoned security system that is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Access to customer information is also restricted to a small number of specific staff within the company. Only customer support specialists have access to a customer's data upon receiving a request from that user. Transactions performed by the user are encrypted using a proprietary encryption algorithm to augment the level of security of information while in transit. Our security policies also incorporate requirements such as those identified within the VISA USA Cardholder Information Security Guidelines.

To provide our customers and shareholders additional assurance that this high level of security remains in place, we have had our security system independently audited - since 1998 - by KPMG.
